The short version: this site counts visits, but it does not track you.
There is no advertising on this website, and it sets no tracking cookies. To see how many people visit, it uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which records the pages viewed, the site that referred the visitor (for example a search engine), the country, and the type of browser and device. It does this without cookies and without identifying or following individual visitors from one site to another. Cloudflare processes that information to provide the counts.
The calculator runs in your own browser. Case details you type into it stay on your device, are never sent anywhere, and I never see them. To build the Word order and the PDF summary it loads two standard code libraries from cdnjs, a public library service run by Cloudflare. It also keeps anonymous counts of its own use (that it was opened, which costs regime produced a figure, and that an order or summary was downloaded), which carry no names, no figures and no internet address. If you choose to send a problem report, the report includes the figures and settings in the calculator at that moment, but not the court, party, judge or counsel names, together with your email address if you choose to give one. If you add the calculator to your home screen it stores a copy of itself on your device so that it works offline, and that copy is yours alone.
The web server keeps ordinary access logs, which include the address of the page requested, the time, and the internet address of the device requesting it. Those logs are kept by the hosting provider for a limited period and are used only to keep the site running and secure.
If you get in touch through my clerks, that correspondence is handled under the privacy policy of Park Square Barristers rather than this one.
If you have a question about any of this, my clerks will pass it on.
